Summary: It goes as far as it can, which just isn't enough!
Comment: I have a small LCD HDTV, and the first thing i noticed when plugging in the wii via scart is that the quality of the picture was terrible. I was saddened moreso when i discovered that the wii has minimal HD output.
I bought this cable in hope to get a vastly improved picture quality, and while it admittedly improved the sharpness overall, it isn't enough to say it's a formiddable jump.
I'd highly recommend this cable for anybody with an HDTV, but do not expect a massive overhaul of the picture quality. More often than not it simply highlights the sharp edges and bad textures in games like zelda, which were made for a smaller resolution (gamecube port).
If you still have a CRT/Big back TV lying around, i'd suggest you plugged that in. You won't get better quality from anything else!

Summary: Better Picture
Comment: Ok, it didn't arrive in a nice box but rather in a jiffy bag
HOWEVER
The improvement in picture quality in 480p Progressive Scan compared to the normal AV (480i) connections is brilliant. Zelda came alive!
And compared to £18 or so for an official nintendo cable, you really can't grumble.
A bargain.

Summary: Beware
Comment: Beware the cable provided looks nothing like the one in the picture. You may say you get what you pay for but I feel if you advertise a product you should be able to provide it, after e-mailing with this supplier he is unwilling to supply the cable shown in the picture. I would not buy anything from him again.

Summary: Great product, but limited by the Wii.
Comment: These cables are great value, and they're exactly the same thing that Nintendo would charge you £20 for!
For those of you who have seen an Xbox 360 or PS3 in HD on a HDTV might be disapointed however, since, whilst these cables are not at fault, the Wii itself is.
The Wii will not display at 720p/1080i/1080p (HDTV resolutions) but will in fact only display at 480i/576i (standard definition) or 480p (enhanced definition). Whilst there is a significant difference when compared to the composite cables (red white and yellow) there is not much difference to be made if you are already using an S-Video cable or Scart cable.

Summary: fantastic
Comment: Been told a few times the wii is not HD so not convinced into buying expensive conponent cables, £49.99 at one shop! still these at 3quid were worth a shot. WOW really pleased I waited but only for the money I saved, The wii is not HD but the settings allow you to change screen resolutions and with these cables everything is now wonderful. Please buy these they are a bargin and arrived in record time.
