Summary: Typically Timeless Taylor
Comment: An album of often sublime offerings in a vein which always sounds fresh, never trite - the all time antidote to crass Christmas Muzak. One moment tender (Some Children See Him), the next earthy (Jingle Bells), but always believable, this collection is such a tonic for those of us who have become jaded with the usual seasonal fare. 'At Christmas' is an ipod essential, an album I can work and play to seemingly without tiring. James's sincere vocal interpretations take us immediately to the heart of the song, as ever in his work. For me, the jewel in this excellent selection would have to be Joni Mitchell's 'River', though I also love the playful 'Baby, It's Cold Outside', a duet with Natalie Cole. And, really, there is nothing here which cannot be relished by those of us with a penchant for the work of this most poetic performer. I also recommend reading James's jovial comments in the sleeve notes, which set the mood nicely for the treat in store when you put the album on a lazy repeat. Love is a constant in Taylor's work - the natural flow from a highly gifted musician with a beautiful soul. Buy this album, for yourself or for someone you love, and, either way, you'll smile.

Summary: A wonderful collection of songs - you'll not regret buying it!
Comment: I am biased of course because I love James Taylor's voice...! but this is sublime for a christmas feel anytime of the year...even if,like me, you are not vaguely religious, all the songs just feel 'right'!

Summary: Perfect Christmas music
Comment: I ordered this after hearing James Taylor singing a couple of the songs on a radio show. The CD is just beautiful and I have had it on almost non-stop since i bought it. Taylor has a lovely voice, the arrangements are wonderful and it evokes a really relaxing 'mince pies baking in the oven, snow falling outside' sort of atmosphere. Just perfect.

Summary: Love it!
Comment: It's beautiful. I can't stop listening to it. If I had to pick a favorite it would either be River or Baby It's Cold Outside. You can't go wrong with this CD.

Summary: Great for relaxing at Christmas
Comment: For any fan of James Taylor, Christmas albums, or simply excellent music this is a must buy. James Taylor has a very easy voice to listen to, and the majority of the songs are instantly recognizable. There are some beautiful vocals, which add to already well known songs. If, like me, you managed to get the Hallmark Christmas album from the US, 10 tracks are the same here (10 out of the 12 being on this, and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas already being owned by fans who bought October Road a few years ago), the only "New" track to true JT fan is "River", but "Deck the Halls" is not on this new release, and was on the Hallmark version.
I've listened to this album(The Hallmark version) a lot since I bought it, and I'm already looking forward to the festive season, so that I can listen again.
