Summary: A clear five star from me too.
Comment: A very well laid out and easy to use dictionary. Clear and easy to read, you dont have to squint like you do with the Gem ones, still a very portable size though.
What's great about this is the section between the english-french and french-english sections is divided by a section of useful info. There is a colour map of France with all the departments listed along with significant towns. There are also lists of the colours with pictorial and then the french names, a section on expressing the time, day week etc and even as far as a small dictionary of text speak. ie. CU L8R etc.
Well worth buying if like me you're doing evening classes, but equally useful for school.

Summary: Fabulous dictionary for any age learning French but will appeal to school pupils too !
Comment: We were given this dictionary at an Open Day at Harper Collins. And thank goodness we were. Its an excellent dictionary with colourful text. It has great examples of how to use each word. The central section includes bits about verbs, days of the week etc. so its more than just a dictionary. It also links to some things on the internet.

Summary: Quality keeps on improving!
Comment: I have a copy of a previous edition of this 'easy learning' dictionary and a friend has the penultimate one to this latest copy. As such, I feel well-versed to comment...
This new release is excellent. My wife and I, both in our 50's, are learning the language and we find this dictionary more than just a resource for looking up the meaning of words. It is a big help to us with our verb tables, especially the tenses and gives good grammatical breakdowns on many aspects of the language.
Perhaps if there was more help with pronounciations, it could claim to be a language course in one book. But that aside, it is very, very, good value and we both love referring to it at every opportunity. Definitely five stars from us!
